Since retiring, Bill has travelled independently to foreign countries (mainly India & Brazil) and is now interested in learning more about other cultures by 'house sitting' which is a better way of getting near to the local people. Anyone reading this, might help by simply spreading the word. Thank you.

TREADLE LATHE GARDEN TABLE
The base of theis garden table is made from an old treadle lathe that I have had for many years.
The wheel and treadle are in working order.
Top is grey slate 3' x 4'6"
It is very heavy!

WORK OVERSEAS
APPROACH

He is also working in the Chiquibul Rainforest in Belize, one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the region, to develop his work in Functional Art and help save the forest.
Bill Hadfield is working in a new way, sourcing his timber from what has gone unnoticed, starting from the tree not the plank - the natural form.
He takes an eccological approach and is using discarded materials.
